Dr. Prakash Kumar
Assistant Professor
With 17 years of academic and administrative experience to his credit, Dr. Prakash
Kumar is an efficient and hard working member of the JRSU family holding the position
of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, JRSU, Ranchi. Prior to
joining JRSU in October 2020, Dr. Kumar was the Controller of Examinations in RKDF
University, Ranchi and was shouldering the responsibility of conducting and managing
the entire examination system of the university. Before rendering his duties to this key
job, Dr. Kumar was the district Head of the IT Cell, Aurangabad district (Bihar) under the
umbrella of Bihar Vikas Mission (Govt. of Bihar). He played an imperative role in the
implementation of various development projects of the state government in the
Aurangabad district. Dr. Kumar also had a brief but an impactful engagement as an
Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology
at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. He stayed there for two years.
In addition to his academic excellence and achievements, Dr. Kumar earned
administrative skills too while holding the position of Director, Nilai Educational Trust
Group of institutions (NETGi), Ranchi for two years and successfully performed the post
of an academic manager. Prior to his service to NETGi, he served as an Associate
Professor at IET, Alwar (Rajasthan) & as an Assistant Professor at LIET, Alwar
(Rajasthan). Both the institutes are affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. In
addition to academics field, Dr. Kumar also served the software industry in a prime
responsibility while he was a software engineer at SBPL, Noida, U.P.
Dr. Prakash Kumar earned his Ph. D degree in Information Technology domain from
BRABU, a state govt. university. He secured his Post Graduation degree in Computer
Science from UPTU. Dr. Kumar has authored several research papers in national and
international research papers, also attended many seminar and conferences and faculty
development programmes during his academic career.
